iPhone Launched By Linksys

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - December 18, 2006

Linksys has stunned the technology world and released the iPhone. Yes, you read that right, Linksys has launched the iPhone. With all the buzz around about Apple releasing a phone/mp3 device nobody bothered to check the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office where Cisco holds the registration for the "iPhone" trademark.

Where does this news leave Apple? They seem to be out of luck. If they do decide to release a phone they'll have to come up with a new name.

The Linksys iPhone is a VoIP phone that works with Skype. Depending on which model you get, the iPhone costs $199 or $179.
