Apple Recalls 1.8 Million Laptop Batteries

Apple Computer joins Dell in recalling laptop batteries. Apple announced a recall of 1.8 million laptop batteries for its iBook and PowerBook laptops. This is just 10 days after Dell recalled 4.1 million batteries made for its laptops.

The batteries could overheat and cause a fire according to published reports. APple has had nine reports of overhearing and 2 reports of minor burns from the batteries.

Affected custoers are advised to contact Apple to get a replacement battery. See the link below for more details.
