Map-Star Announces GPS Device

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - February 03, 2007

Map-Star is the latest company to jump into the GPS market. With the self titled GPS device based on Windows CE 4.2, Map-Star aims to compete with other GPS devices such as Garmin and Tom Tom who already have a following in the market. This will be a tough challenge.

The Map-Star runs Windows CE 4.2 on a Samsung 400MHz S3C2440 processor. It has a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, and a 2GB SD card pre-loaded with maps of the US and Canada. engadget says the Map-Star is "throughly average in just about every respect."

Map-Star is expected to sell for $500.
